1. General
These Terms and Conditions, together with any Special Conditions specified by GB METECC (UK) Ltd ("GBM"), form the entire agreement under which GBM provides services to the Customer. No other terms shall apply unless expressly agreed in writing by GBM. By placing an order or booking services, the Customer acknowledges acceptance of these Terms.
2. Scope of Services
GBM provides pre-compliance EMC testing, chamber hire, and design advisory services. All services are performed to the best of our ability and in accordance with applicable standards and internal procedures. GBM does not provide formal certification or regulatory approval services.
3. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate.
- Services must be paid in full prior to commencement unless account terms have been agreed in writing.
- Payment is accepted via bank transfer, credit card, or online portal.
- Minimum booking duration per day is 4 hours.
- Supplementary hours, on the same day, are charged in 1-hour blocks (rounded up), subject to client approval.
4. Ordering and Booking
- Bookings will not be confirmed until GBM received a valid Customer Purchase Order.
- GBM reserves the right to refuse bookings without confirmed payment or authorisation.
5. Reports and Certificates
- Test summaries will be issued within seven (7) working days post-testing, excluding public holidays and GBM's Christmas closure.
- Reports are for reference only and do not constitute formal EMC certification.
- All equipment used is calibrated and traceable to the UK National Physical Laboratory, except for indication-only items.
- GBM does not supervise or certify products and accepts no liability for product compliance.
- Additional report writing services may be offered on a case-by-case basis. The client assumes full responsibility for the use and content of such reports.
6. Equipment Handling
- GBM will inspect and report the condition of client equipment upon receipt.
- GBM is not liable for damage to faulty or non-compliant equipment.
- Any damage caused to GBM's equipment by the client will be charged to the client.
7. Liability
GBM's services are provided on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee compliance or certification.
GBM shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
- Damage to client equipment unless caused by GBM's negligence.
- Advice or recommendations provided during testing or advisory services.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring their product meets applicable regulatory requirements.
8. Cancellation and Rescheduling
A minimum of five (5) working days' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a booking.
Cancellation fees:
- More than 5 working days: No fee.
- 3–5 working days: 50% of the total fee.
- 1–2 working days: 75% of the total fee.
- No-show: 100% of the total fee.
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within a reasonable timeframe. In cases of genuine emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, cancellation fees may be waived at GBM's discretion.
GBM reserves the right to reschedule bookings due to internal emergencies or force majeure without liability.
9. Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property created by GBM during the provision of services remains the property of GBM unless otherwise agreed.
- The Customer shall not reproduce, distribute, or disclose any reports or materials without prior written consent.
10. Force Majeure
GBM shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform services due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, equipment failure, or staff illness.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
